MANILA, Philippines – Contractors behind anomalous flood control projects will be prohibited from participating in any procurement projects of the government, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) said.
The DBM said its procurement service unit had canceled the membership of nine companies associated with Sarah Discaya.

The DBM is likewise “on high alert” to cancel the procurement membership of more companies, such as SYMS Construction Trading and Wawao Builders, upon issuance of the official blacklisting order from the Department of Public Works and Highways.
The cancelations will remove the contractors’ records from the registry of the electronic procurement system, thereby totally prohibiting them from joining any biddings for projects of the government.
